FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: March 13, 2009

Building communities is all in a day’s work for Lindemann Bentzon Bojack Architects & Engineers (LBB). Among its many services, LBB provides architectural design for developers as well as national and regional production homebuilders. LBB is exhibiting its dedication to building communities in another way, as evidenced by two of its pro-bono projects which the firm has been and is currently involved: Camp Boggy Creek Welcome Center and Eco-Lodge.

LBB is donating architectural and engineering services for Camp Boggy Creek’s new Welcome Center to serve guest and visitors upon their arrival to the Lake County camp facility. Founded by Paul Newman in 1990, Camp Boggy Creek gives seriously ill children an experience they might not otherwise be able to enjoy by providing a camp environment with all the appropriate medical support necessary, at no cost to their families. All funds required to operate the camp annually are provided by donations from individuals, corporations, foundations and healthcare partners.

The one-story Welcome Center will be approximately 18,000 square feet, incorporating space for reception, meeting/conference, and administration offices. The architectural style is complimentary to the present rustic theme of existing structures. LBB is teaming up with the Welcome Center’s primary sponsor, ABC Fine Wine & Spirits. LBB has also provided conceptual design for the Eco-Lodge – an 8,500 square foot facility for community awareness of Florida’s indigenous animal species. The objective of the Eco-Lodge is to provide an expertly managed, working care facility to educate visitors about Florida wildlife. It includes space for housing, rehabilitation and on-going care for some of Florida’s fascinating animals.

Designed to accommodate school field trips and seminar-type events with a “hands-on” learning experience, the bi-level structure is inspired by rural “Old Florida” architecture to encourage visitors to connect with Florida’s unique wildlife and environment, as well as its rich history. The Eco-Lodge project is an on-going effort with help from I.C.I Homes and Trafalgar Enterprises, Inc. in cooperation with Shingle Creek Development.

Based in Clermont, Florida, with an office in Jacksonville, Florida, LBB has been providing innovative, comprehensive architectural and engineering solutions for commercial and residential builders and developers since 1994.
